5 Tips to Help You Drink More Water

We all know that it is important to drink water throughout the day. Getting in those 8-10 glasses of water doctors tell us we need can be tricky in reality. I've come up with some tips that might help make it easier. This post is sponsored by Glasstic, but all opinions are my own.

  1. Add essential oil or fresh fruit. Not everyone likes the taste of plain water, so adding a few drops of essential oil or some slices of fresh fruit can help make it taste more palatable.
  2. Keep a water bottle with you. There might not always be access to water when you are out and about. If you fill up a water bottle and take it with you, that is one less excuse you can use.
  3. Start drinking water as soon as you wake up. Drinking water first thing in the morning wakes up your organs and gets you in the habit of hydrating.
  4. Drink water before you eat every meal. Not only will this help to fill you up, but it is also an easy way to keep yourself accountable because you can make it a habit.
  5. Refill as soon as you run out. If you run out of water, it is easy to think you are done. Making sure to refill your bottle every time it is empty will ensure that you always have the ability to take sips throughout the day.
I try to follow these tips as often as possible but sometimes it gets tricky.     I always have a hard time getting myself to drink the recommended amount of water everyday! It was awful for when I was pregnant! Infusers are awesome and totally help me get this fixed!

      Yes, the double wall is awesome. Ice cubes stay much longer than a regular bottle.

    I really appreciate this post because I’m trying to drink more water daily but I struggle. I love the idea of infusing fruit into my water container.

      I never used to like fruit flavors in my water, but it really does help satisfy those cravings for something other than water. Good luck drinking more water!

    THis is something I am working on big time this year! I only have one kidney so it’s really important for me to stay hydrated and really SUCK at it! Great tips!

    Fresh fruit has really helped me. Also, I find if I am making my water super cold I have no problems drinking tons of water! These are some great tips!

    It’s so important to drink plenty of water, and I’m really trying at the moment to drink a lot of it during the dad. I’ve noticed I hardly ever have headaches any more which is great! Thanks for the tips 🙂

    These are some fantastic ideas! I do struggle trying to drink the recommended amount of water daily and I’m trying to find a way to find drinking water more appealing to me!

    I’ve been literally googling this today – I’m terrible at drinking water and think my legs have been retaining some because they are often so so swollen. I’m definitely going to implement some of your tips;) x

    I usually just bring a big huge jug with me so that I know how much I am drinking all day long. It works great!

    I definitely needed this, I have been trying very hard to make drinking water a habit but I tend to only drink it when I get severely dehydrated and even then it is only when I don’t have any apple juice around that I go for water. I really hope I can turn that around because I know how good it is for you.
