New Step2 Rain Showers Splash Pond Water Table

I received this item as part of a Step2 sampling program, but all opinions are my own.
My daughter is getting ready to turn 3 years old, and she has loved playing in water since she could sit up on her own. She revels in splashing the water out of the tub, making a big splash in the pool, throwing water balloons, and spraying a squirt bottle. I can't tell you how many times I have had to mop up water from a surprise playtime. When we received the Step 2 Rain Showers Splash Pond Water Table, I knew it would be her new favorite activity.  step2 As soon as she saw the box, she was excited and ready to start playing. Despite having an excited 2 year old bouncing around and asking if I was done, I was able to put it together in less than 30 minutes only using a screwdriver. Within minutes, she was in her bathing suit and ready to go outside. This sturdy table holds more water than you would think. It was a little on the cooler side the day we put it together; but since I wasn't going to be able to make her wait for higher temps, I chose to fill it with warm water. She loved filling the bucket and dumping it over the top to make her own rain shower. The maze pieces can be taken out and moved around so kids can create changing waterfalls. step2 As a parent, I love how sturdy Step2 products are. This table is able to take rough play from a toddler and still look like it is new out of the box. It is marketed for children as young as 1.5 years old, but can go way beyond that. The height is low enough for younger children to stand at and play, but high enough for even my 6 year old to be comfortable. There were enough buckets and toys, and plenty of space for each child to play in the water without being right on top of the other. This is key, because it doesn't take much to start a brother/sister fight.
My favorite features:
  • rain shower effect looks and sounds like real rain
  • we loved flipping the frog off of the launcher
  • comes with 13 brightly colored accessories
  • space saver design but plenty of room to share
  • sturdy, durable construction
  • easy cleanup with the plug at the base of the pond
  • made in the USA

I absolutely love this – I’m sure my niece & nephew would play with it all day all night haha! I’ve actually seen a similar one in a local kids park – it’s called a science garden and the kids are crazy about it! x

Absolutely a great way to keep them entertained. I would put something under it if you want to play inside to soak up spills and splashes.

Yes, it is awesome for smaller spaces. This would even fit out on a patio so you don’t have to go too far.
