Moms and Preschoolers Love British Soccer Camp
*Disclosure: I received a free week of Soccer Camp for my daughter through the USFamilyGuide. No other compensation was received and all opinions are my own.*When Summer break rolled around, there were many choices for activities to keep the kids busy. Now that my daughter is 3, she decided that she wanted to go to camp like her big brother. We chose a week of British Soccer Camp to get her active and introduce her to the sport. She tends to be shy in groups, so I also hoped that it would help her to come out of her shell. The first day, parents and kids met with the coaches after arrival to learn what to expect from the week. Our location had 3 coaches all from different countries. 1 coach for the older group of kids, and 2 for the younger group. The kids all warmed up together on the field with games and running before splitting off. Sassy was excited to get started, which eased my fears that she might not want to join in the fun. Wrangling 3 and 4 year olds can easily be compared to herding a bunch of cats; but camp went beyond expectations. I cannot say enough about how awesome the coaches were at our British Soccer Camp. Coach Sam and Coach Ben were so good with the little ones, and really knew how to capture their attention. They played fun and imaginative games that also taught basic soccer skills. When a little one would go off course, the coaches would do their best to get them back on track. Their patience was saintly, and being a parent of one of those whiny but lovable preschoolers, I was appreciative.
